Exion Body is the applicator for the body: a more powerful handpiece for larger areas that warms the skin and the layer beneath it with radiofrequency through the handpiece, with a return pad on the body, and targeted ultrasound. It has a massage attachment the US clearance covers for a temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite. We use it on the abdomen and sides, the upper arms, the thighs, the buttocks, the knees and the upper back. In a 2026 study of 23 patients, four sessions left the fat layer 16% thinner on ultrasound at one month and 22% thinner at three and six months, and 71% reported an improvement. What it does

A soft area with a layer of fat to reduce and skin to firm: a post-pregnancy abdomen, the sides, the back of the arms, the inner thighs, the skin above the knees, the upper back. The massage attachment is cleared in the US for the temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite. It is not a weight-loss treatment, it does not build muscle, and it does not remove a fold of loose skin after large weight loss. What the study measured

• 23 patients, 2026: four sessions with a device matching Exion Body (radiofrequency, targeted ultrasound and active cooling); fat layer on ultrasound 16% thinner at one month, 22.5% at three and six months; by calliper 28%, 33% and 42.5%; 71% reported an improvement. The session

Skin cleaned, a conductive gel, and the handpiece moved in passes over the area while the console holds the temperature at 40 to 45°C: deep warmth, like a hot stone massage, and you can read. In our experience a session takes 20 to 60 minutes depending on the area. The skin is pink and warm afterwards and you go back to your day. The sessions page sets out the course.

Who it suits

Someone whose weight is steady with a soft area they want smaller and firmer. The US label sets no skin type limit for Face and Body, and the studies did not include darker skin, so the clinician assesses yours first. Not over hair or scar tissue, not with an electronic or metal implant, and in our practice not in pregnancy or breastfeeding or over an active skin problem.
