Exion for lines around the mouth in London

The vertical lines on the upper lip and the lines that run down from the corners of the mouth sit in an area BTL's gallery shows for both the needle applicator and the Face applicator. Fractional RF places heat under the etched lines through fine needles, and the Face applicator warms the skin around the mouth with radiofrequency and targeted ultrasound. The lips themselves are not treated: a BTL trial of a related needle applicator excluded them, and so do we. What it does around the mouth

In our experience lines etched into the skin soften as collagen rebuilds under them; lines made by pursing the lips keep forming with the muscle, so the improvement is in the skin's surface and thickness. Thin lips are a volume question and deep folds from the nose to the mouth are a cheek question; the clinician says which, and names the treatment for each, at the free consultation.

The session and who it suits

Numbing cream for Fractional RF, a conductive gel for the Face applicator, and the handpiece worked over the skin around the mouth, in our experience about 20 minutes. The skin is pink and warm afterwards, with one to three days of redness after Fractional RF. A cold sore in the past is a reason to tell the clinician first. Not with an electronic or metal implant, and in our practice not in pregnancy or breastfeeding or over an active skin problem. The sessions page sets out the course.
