EXION

Exion for the knees in London

The fold of crepey skin above the kneecap and the small pad on the inner side of the knee are treated in our practice with the Body applicator, both knees in one session. It warms the skin and the layer beneath with radiofrequency and targeted ultrasound with nothing through the skin. BTL's gallery shows no knee image and no study measures it, and we say so plainly. Four sessions, often with the inner thighs, at Exion Clinic, 8 Devonshire Place, with the price in writing at a free consultation.

What it does on the knees

In our experience the skin above the knee firms and the small pad thins as the warmth works over the weeks after the course. It does not change the joint, and a fold of skin that has lost its elasticity entirely is more than a course firms. The clinician tests the skin at the free consultation and says what four sessions are likely to do.

The evidence

No BTL wording or study names the knees, and we say so. The 2026 study of 23 patients with a device matching Exion Body, the fat layer 22.5% thinner at three and six months, stands for the mechanism rather than as a promise for the knee. The body page sets it out.

The session and who it suits

Skin cleaned, a conductive gel, and the handpiece moved in passes above and beside each kneecap while the console holds the temperature at 40 to 45°C, in our experience about 20 minutes for both. The skin is pink and warm afterwards. Someone whose weight is steady with a crepey fold or a small pad at the knees. Not over scar tissue, not with a knee replacement or an electronic or metal implant, and in our practice not in pregnancy or breastfeeding or over an active skin problem. The sessions page sets out the course.
