The intimate applicator on the Exion platform is EMfemme 360, which BTL files under Exion. It warms the vaginal tissue with radiofrequency over an eight-minute session, three sessions in a course in our practice, after a doctor's examination. We provide it at our sister clinic at the same address, 8 Devonshire Place, and its own site sets out what it is for and the evidence in full: EMfemme 360 London. The price is in writing at a free consultation.
What it does
The 360-degree probe warms the vaginal walls to the temperature at which BTL says collagen production is stimulated, and the outer labia are treated externally with the same applicator. The one published study that names the device measured pain on intercourse and tissue health in postmenopausal women, with pain gone in 29 of 35 after three sessions. No study has scored laxity or sexual function with a validated scale, and we say so.
Who it suits, and booking
It suits a woman after a vaginal birth with laxity and less sensation that she puts down to it, or with dryness and pain after the menopause once vaginal oestrogen has been discussed. She has no current infection, no unexplained bleeding and no metal coil, is not pregnant or breastfeeding, and has her cervical screening up to date. Call Exion Clinic on 0207 043 8136 or use the form below, and we book you with the doctor at the sister clinic; the full Exion guide covers the rest of the platform.
