Loosened skin on the buttocks and the dimpling of cellulite across them are treated in our practice with the Body applicator, which warms the skin and the layer beneath with radiofrequency and targeted ultrasound. Its massage attachment is cleared in the US for the temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite. BTL's gallery shows no buttock image and no study measures it, and we say so plainly. Four sessions, often with the thighs, at Exion Clinic, 8 Devonshire Place, with the price in writing at a free consultation.
What it does on the buttocks
In our experience the skin firms and the dimpling softens for a time as the warmth and the massage attachment work over the weeks after the course. It does not lift or add volume, which a muscle treatment does, and EMsculpt NEO at our sister clinic is the muscle treatment; the clinician plans the combination at the free consultation.
The evidence
The massage attachment's US clearance for the temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite is the only wording that reaches the buttocks, and no study measures them, and we say so. The body page sets out what has been measured.
The session and who it suits
Skin cleaned, a conductive gel, and the handpiece moved in passes over each buttock while the console holds the temperature at 40 to 45°C, in our experience 20 to 30 minutes; the skin is pink and warm afterwards. Someone whose weight is steady with loosened or dimpled skin on the buttocks. Not over hair or scar tissue, not with an electronic or metal implant, and in our practice not in pregnancy or breastfeeding or over an active skin problem. The sessions page sets out the course.
